Kuka Movement- General knowledge

KUKA MOVEMENT

The people of Namdhari sect of the Sikhs are also called Kuka.The armed revolt of these people is called by the name of the Kuka revolt.Kuka revolt led by Guru Ram Singhji. The Kooka people made their parallel government by distributing entire Punjab in twenty-two districts. Count of Kuka heroes was more than seven million. The rebellion broke in incomplete preparations and for this reason he was suppressed.It was originally founded by Bhagat Jawahar Mal in 1840.

  • During the Kuka Movement run by Namdhari Sikhs for the independence of India, 66 Nambarde Sikhs were martyred.
  • Namdhari Sikhs protested against it and 100 nomadic Sikhs released the cows on 15th June 1871 and attacked the Raikot slaughterhouse on 15th July 1871.
  • In the case of this rebellion, on August 5, 1871, three Numbered Sikhs, on December 15, 1871, four Namdhari Sikhs, Amritsar and two Namdhari Sikhs, were executed on 26th November 1871 with the tree of Butt in Ludhiana and executed martyrically.
